Your reality = REALITY???
The Daily Habit For Doers
“Perception does not define who we are, but it does define where we are limited, and where we are not yet free.”
- Georgi Y. Johnson
Something happens.
You SEE it happen.
And then you subconsciously decide what it means — someone’s comment might be a backhanded insult… or it might be a real compliment.
I remember someone once said when giving me a referral to a client: “I can’t recommend him enough.”
Laughing, I realized there are two ways to interpret that: you CAN’T recommend me enough because I’m not good enough. Or the more obvious explanation contextually: you can’t recommend me enough because I’m SO good.
LOTS of language
And you might do it subconsciously…
… but you still get to CHOOSE how you interpret something.
Maybe mental health challenges prove that you’re weak… or maybe they prove that you’re resilient.
Maybe your physical health is a hindrance to your life… or maybe it’s an opportunity that other people don’t have.
Maybe someone's comment is a backhanded insult… or maybe they just said it in a weird way but their intention was good.
Choose to see things better.
And not only your perception of reality will change… but reality itself.
