Circumstances are not the reason we’re unhappy. 

They’re the excuse. 

They aren’t the reason we’re happy. 

They’re the justification. 

We use reason to make sense of our emotions.

And we can consciously choose the “reason” as well as the emotion — but those “reasons” don’t need to make sense to anyone else. 

Wiggle your toes. 

Think of your kids. 

Smile. 

Find your reason to be happy. 

Every day.

Then choose happiness.
